Child Development and Public Health

I chose breastfeeding because I experienced this with my wife and son. It was quite meaningful and I learned many things like why it is so healthy for children and their future. In Ghana, the percentage of neonatal deaths has decreased when mothers have been encouraged to breastfeed within the first 24 hours of life. In the future,I will continue to be an advocate for healthy babies and mothers who breastfeed. If the children are healthier when they start class, we will have a healthier school. This new information will impact my future work by being more sensitive towards children needs for closeness and bonding.

    Hi,
    Wow, I think its great that infant deaths were decreased b/c of mothers that breastfeed! I think that breastfeeding can lead to more healthy babies and I give thumbs up to mothers that do it.
