Sharing Web Resources

The name of the organization I selected is The PEW Charitable Trust State and Consumer Initiatives. The link for the organization is http://www.pewstates.org/. The main focus of this organization is to first provide funding for worthwhile issues that should not be ignored in the world. Their reputation for helping those that is not able to help them speak for it. They try very hard to work closely with local, state, and federal governments that are connected with issues and trends in society. To me no one organization can do it all, however the PEW Charitable Trust Organization comes very close and a leader for other organizations to follow.
The international website I selected is named International Step by Step Association (ISSA) and the link is http://www.issa.nl/. The International Step by Step Association (ISSA) is a membership organization that connects professionals and organizations working in the field of early childhood development and education. One particular trend that caught my attention was that programs currently reach well over 1 million children and their families. This is extraordinary to be able to reach so many people all over the world. The ISSA's annual conferences are organized with the aim to bring together educational professionals from all around the world and provide a forum for dialogue between East and West, as well as between practitioners, NGO representatives, researchers and policy makers.
I have learned how to use my resources internationally and here in the United States. It feels good to talk to someone else about their countries issues and trends in the field of early childhood education.

  1. The PEW Charitable Trust State and Consumer Initiatives is a name that I hear quit often on Public Television. I normally hear the name associated as a supporter of many independent shows on public TV. Most of the shows or independent films appeared to address any issues that affect children and their families as well as educational related issues.

  2. I also have heard of the PEW Charitable Trust State and Consumer Initiatives and I believe that I have heard on the PBS channel on TV. Its good to know that we have organizations such as the International Step by Step Association that have reach over 1 million families globally. We need more organizations to step up if they can to reach more families across the globe.
