Children are not kids, or baby goats, and we should not treat them as second class citizens. I try personally to take time to always address them as children and not kids. My quote about children is, " If you want your child to be intelligent, read them fairy tales, and if you want them to be more intelligent, read them more fairy tales." According to Mind Tools (n.d.) “Communication is only successful when both the sender and the receiver understand the same information as a result of the communication” ("Mind Tools," n.d., p. 1) . Importantly, if this flow of information is accurately receivable, then there is less chances of misunderstandings and confusion.
